Tower Hamlets Support for Start Ups

From never-ending to-do lists, inconsistent sales and a shrinking budget, we understand the challenges businesses face at the start of trading.

Tower Hamlets Support for Startups is a free programme designed to help you move forward with clarity, build a plan, and access funding opportunities for businesses in Tower Hamlets. This programme is funded by the London Borough of Tower Hamlets through the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund, supported by the Greater London Authority

Programme details

We’re supporting early-stage businesses in Tower Hamlets between May and September 2026. You’ll attend a short workshop, build a career scale-up plan, get tailored and the chance to pitch your business and win up to £5,000 in grant funding. Get help with customer appeal, better pricing, stronger finances and a clearer business direction to level up your organisation.
You’ll leave with clarity, direction, and a plan you can actually use.

Requirements

  • To take part, you must:
    Be based in Tower Hamlets or a resident business owner
    Have been trading for 6–24 months
    Complete the application form
  • Attend the 3-hour workshop
  • Create a scale-up plan
    Complete required programme documentation

To apply for funding, you must complete the programme.

Funding opportunity

In September, selected participants will be invited to pitch their business at the Tower Hamlets Entrepreneurs Showcase. Up to 10 businesses will be shortlisted You’ll pitch your plan to a panel of judges You could win up to £5,000 in grant funding Funding can be used for things like: Equipment Marketing Stock Systems Growth activities   To be eligible, you must complete the 3-hour training.
