Built in Notts is a community for founders, creatives, and technologists building the future from Nottingham. Allia has been in collaboration with the organisation since for the past year, and we spoke to them to reflect on how the partnership has benefitted mission-led businesses in the region.
What is your organisation’s mission?
Built in Notts connects and empowers Nottingham’s entrepreneurs, founders and tech innovators. Through events, community, collaboration and tech innovation, we develop opportunities that foster lasting economic impact across the region. Our ultimate goal is to establish Nottingham as a recognised hub where startups thrive and change-makers build a brighter future.
How has Allia Impact helped your organisation deliver on its goals?
Allia Impact provided six months of vital sponsorship for our monthly socials, directly accelerating the growth and reach of the Built in Notts brand by enabling us to recruit high-quality speakers, access great venues and draw in new attendees. In particular, they supported high-impact events such as our landmark Media Mace social, which became one of our best-attended events at the time and brought in a lot of new faces.
Allia Impact has platformed Built in Notts through speaking engagements, such as at the Tech For Good Impact Summit.
Sheridan from Allia Impact has provided consistent, hands-on support to both ourselves and our community members through regularly attending meetups, volunteering at pitch nights, and sharing valuable guidance and signposting. He has also consistently promoted our events, as well as utilising our events as a platform to notify founders of beneficial Allia Impact events and initiatives.
How can Allia and your organisation continue to work together to support businesses in Nottingham?
Going forward, Allia Impact can continue partnering directly with us to deliver events, expanding this relationship to targeted advisory services that will connect our community to Allia’s established Tech for Good program.
Joining forces as long-term strategic partners, Allia Impact can provide further financial and operational support into a wide variety of flagship community formats.
Allia can lend its expertise and experiences to future Built in Notts reports into entrepreneurship and tech for good.
